JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

Our ideal installer is a person who can bring their energy, construction knowledge and professionalism to install all the brands we sell. Installers will prepare for installations, install windows and doors to manufacturers specifications or local building authority codes to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. They will deal with projects of all sizes, budgets, and work with customers from all walks of life. Installers need to adapt to each project, find the best solutions to conditions and establish themselves as a professional when working in customers’ homes. Attention to detail, accountability, combined with problem solving skills and ability to work as a team will be keys to success in this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • • Installation of windows & doors per manufacturer specifications
  • • Complete interior and exterior trim work
  • • Loading of materials and pre-installation preparation
  • • Breakdown and cleaning of worksite areas
  • • Develop good customer relations and maintain high level of service
  • • Perform installation and apply methods determined by lead installer
  • • Clean and organize trucks daily
  • • Perform the required amount of work in the alotted period of time
  • • Assist others when necessary (fellow employees and customers)
  • • Communicate well throughout organization

  • • Other tasks as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • • Drivers license and transportation
  • • Hand tools needed to install windows and doors

SUMMARY

The ideal warehouse associate will be prepared to handle the challenges of working with windows and doors. Warehouse understands the importance of handling materials that are both potentially heavy and fragile. They are the first ones to handle products as they arrive, and fulfill the duties that correspond with each job, from loading and unloading to storage and delivery. They will deal with projects of all sizes, budgets, and work with customers from all walks of life. Warehouse associates adapt, assist, and communicate effectively when handling products, and establish themselves as a professional when working with customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • • Unloading of product from manufacturer’s trailer
  • • Delivery of products to customer or business location
  • • Storage of products in warehouse
  • • Prepping materials for next day installation
  • • Restocking installation materials
  • • Operating heavy machinery (forklift and order picker)
  • • Driving and navigating to various locations
  • • Assist others when necessary (fellow employees and customers)
  • • Handling of product and assisting customers when necessary

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Hourly

SUMMARY

Our ideal sales support & showroom representative is a person who can bring their energy, strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude to promote Big L and the brands we offer. The showroom representative will be taking incoming calls, scheduling in home appointments, and working with walk in customers. They will deal with projects of all sizes, budgets, and customers from all walks of life. The showroom representative will many times be the first person a customer interacts with. Making them the critical first impression of the entire company, it’s values and helping them find solutions to their specific needs.
The showroom representative will need to react quickly to customers and establish the best way that Big L can assist them. Strong communication, presentation skills and a general understanding of construction/windows & doors, will be key to success in this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • • Take incoming phone calls and make appointments for sales reps.
  • • Interact with customers in showroom and call-in customers.
  • • Help customers find solutions and products to fit their needs.
  • • Demonstrate products discuss various options accurately.
  • • Provide basic quotations on products to customers.
  • • Assist others when necessary (fellow employees and customers).
  • • Communicate well throughout organization.
  • • Bring an energy and passion to helping people.
  • • Ability to learn and understand window/door details.

OTHER JOB DUTIES

  • • Other tasks as assigned by management
  • • Clerical work if needed
  • • Organization of showroom & stocking sample materials

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • • Proficient level of use of Windows 10, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • • Able to work 9:00-5:00 daily and an alternating Saturday
  • • Communicates well and often with everyone

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE

  • • High School diploma/GED
  • • Any construction knowledge and understanding of building materials is a plus
